Operating Theatres (Orthopaedics), County Hospital Stafford
We have an exciting opportunity for applications from enthusiastic individuals to work within our main Orthopaedic Theatres as a Senior Operating Department Practitioner / Senior Theatre Practitioner undertaking scrub roles.
About the Role
We are looking for Theatre Practitioners, Registered Nurses / Operating Department Practitioners for full-time positions, however, part-time would be considered.
Theatres are fast-paced environments where a positive attitude, energy, and innovation are welcomed. As a team leader, you will be expected to deliver high standards of perioperative care, and have the ability to support and develop your own skills and facilitate/support and develop the team to provide excellent patient care within the department.
Requirements
We ask that applicants have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at band 5 in theatre and can demonstrate leadership skills and qualities. You will be expected to lead a team in theatre and at times the department.
We require you to have excellent scrub and leadership skills in Orthopaedic Theatres. The successful candidates will work across Monday to Saturday with long day shifts according to the area of work.

Please understand that although this position is at County hospital, we are one hospital with Royal Stoke and you may be required to work there on occasion.
Senior scrub staff will need to take responsibility for the smooth running of the operating list supporting the team in theatre. There may be occasions when you would be required to work outside of your specific speciality.
