Senior Paid Media Manager – Retail
London | Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office
Salary: Up to £58,000
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Paid Media Manager to join a growing London agency, taking the lead across an exciting portfolio of retail and e-commerce clients. This is a genuinely integrated paid media role spanning PPC and Paid Social, ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on campaign management with strategy, client leadership and developing junior members of the team.
The Role
As Senior Paid Media Manager, you’ll own the strategy and performance of paid media campaigns across a portfolio of retail clients. You’ll work across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and other relevant paid social platforms, taking campaigns from initial planning and activation through to optimisation, testing, reporting and strategic recommendations. You’ll be a senior point of contact for clients, helping them understand not just what is happening within their accounts, but how paid media can drive wider commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead paid media strategy across PPC and Paid Social for a portfolio of retail and e-commerce clients.
- Plan, build, manage and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and additional social platforms.
- Own client budgets, forecasting and media planning, ensuring investment is allocated effectively across channels.
- Analyse performance against KPIs including ROAS, revenue, CPA, CAC and conversion rate.
- Identify opportunities to scale accounts through testing, optimisation and new channel opportunities.
- Develop testing roadmaps across audiences, creative, bidding, campaign structure and landing pages.
- Turn campaign data into clear commercial insights and recommendations for clients.
- Lead regular client calls, performance reviews and strategic presentations.
- Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a trusted paid media advisor.
- Work closely with creative, strategy, analytics and account teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Support and mentor junior members of the paid media team, providing guidance and quality assurance.
- Stay ahead of developments across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Paid Social and the wider performance marketing landscape.
- Contribute to pitches, new business opportunities and the continued development of the agency’s paid media proposition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
