Are you an experienced Palliative Care Nurse, Hospice Nurse or Community Nurse looking to take the next step in your career?

This is an opportunity to join a specialist palliative care service, earning up to £45,129, with full or part-time hours available, excellent benefits and fully supported Non-Medical Prescribing training.

You'll provide specialist care to patients with life-limiting illnesses across Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, working autonomously while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

The Role

As a Senior Palliative Care Nurse, you'll manage patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs, providing specialist assessment, symptom management and clinical support.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Completing holistic assessments and developing individualised care plans
  • Managing complex symptoms and supporting patients approaching end of life
  • Providing specialist advice to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals
  • Supporting telephone triage and responding to clinical enquiries
  • Working closely with GPs, community teams and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Advocating for patients and ensuring compassionate, person-centred care
  • Maintaining accurate and high-quality clinical documentation

About You

We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with:

  • Active UK NMC registration as an RGN/Adult Nurse
  • Previous palliative or end-of-life care experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • The confidence to work autonomously within a specialist multidisciplinary team

You don't need to already be a Non-Medical Prescriber. If you haven't completed the qualification, you'll receive full support to achieve it as part of your professional development.
