The Role

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will provide high-quality technical and administrative support to Financial Advisers, managing complex cases and ensuring recommendations are thoroughly researched, technically accurate, and compliant.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Preparing detailed and compliant suitability reports.
  • Supporting advisers with complex financial planning cases.
  • Undertaking research across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection, and tax planning.
  • Carrying out pension and investment calculations.
  • Preparing client meeting documentation and review packs.
  • Supporting new business and implementation of advice.
  • Conducting product, fund, and platform research.
  • Liaising with advisers, clients, and providers where required.
  • Ensuring all work meets regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Managing your own caseload and prioritising competing deadlines.
  • Supporting junior members of the paraplanning team where required.

About You

The successful candidate will have strong technical Paraplanning experience and a solid understanding of holistic financial planning.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Several years’ experience within a Paraplanning role.
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, and retirement planning.
  • Excellent suitability report writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
  • Relevant financial planning qualifications, ideally Diploma qualified or working towards Chartered status.
