Senior Paraplanner
Cheltenham | Hybrid working
Salary up to £55,000 + bonus + excellent benefits
Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to take ownership of complex, high-value financial planning work within a collaborative and highly regarded team?
We are working with a well-established and award-winning financial planning business who are looking to appoint a Senior Paraplanner. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside Chartered Financial Planners, supporting a varied client base that includes high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
You will join a supportive team where quality, professional development, and exceptional client outcomes are central to the culture.
The role
As Senior Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Planners to develop tailored financial planning solutions and produce high-quality suitability reports across a broad range of planning areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
- Supporting advisers with bespoke planning solutions for new and existing clients
- Undertaking research across investments, pensions, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, and personal protection
- Liaising directly with clients when required, including high-net-worth individuals
- Providing support to the administration team on new business and ongoing servicing
- Producing research papers and presentations that communicate complex matters clearly
- Ensuring all work meets required compliance standards and is delivered accurately and on time
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail

About you
You will be an experienced, technically capable Paraplanner who enjoys working as a trusted partner to Financial Planners and delivering thoughtful, well-structured client solutions.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- At least five years’ experience within financial services, predominantly in a paraplanning role
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
- Experience across both pre- and post-retirement planning
- Recent exposure to inheritance tax planning and/or personal protection
- Strong knowledge of financial planning compliance
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- A methodical, accurate, and proactive approach
