The Opportunity
At Mercury Wealth, you’ll work closely with our Financial Planners to help turn clients’ goals into clear, practical financial plans.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner who enjoys complex technical work, takes pride in producing thoughtful, accurate advice documentation and contributes confidently to the financial planning process.
You’ll take responsibility for complex cases, contribute to planning strategies and support colleagues with technical questions. You’ll also attend client meetings and use cashflow modelling to help explore clients’ options and bring their plans to life.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Financial Planners to develop personalised financial planning strategies.
- Prepare and review suitability reports, technical research and supporting calculations.
- Produce cashflow models and explore different planning scenarios.
- Attend client meetings to provide technical support, run cashflow scenarios and capture planning information.
- Take responsibility for complex pension, investment, retirement and inheritance tax planning cases.
- Provide technical guidance to paraplanning and Client Services colleagues.
- Mentor less experienced team members and support the quality of their work.
- Help improve our processes and working practices.
- Keep your technical knowledge current and maintain clear, accurate client records.

What You’ll Bring
- A Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent as a minimum.
- Chartered Financial Planner or Certified Financial Planner status, or active progress towards either through relevant advanced qualifications.
- Substantial paraplanning experience, including responsibility for complex cases.
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning and cashflow modelling.
- Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to explain technical subjects clearly.
- Careful attention to detail and sound judgement about when to seek further input.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share your knowledge.
- A familiarity with evidence-based investing and experience mentoring colleagues would also be welcome.
