A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner who loves the technical side of financial planning and is looking for a role with plenty of flexibility and autonomy, within a growing and friendly business. There is also genuine long-term opportunity here, with the potential for equity and generous longer-term incentives as the business continues to grow.

This is a fully remote position with a strong focus on report writing, cashflow modelling and technical planning, rather than administration.

About the role

Working closely with the Financial Planners, you’ll support a range of interesting and often complex HNW client cases, taking the information and objectives provided by the Planner and working through the technical detail to build and compare different planning scenarios.

A big part of the role will be taking complex financial information and turning it into clear, well-written recommendations that are easy for clients to understand.

The role will include:

  • Producing suitability and annual review reports
  • Building and updating cashflow models using CashCalc
  • Modelling and comparing different financial planning scenarios
  • Carrying out technical research and calculations
  • Supporting advice across pensions, investments and tax planning
  • Reviewing adviser briefs and identifying gaps or areas requiring further information
  • Using Timeline to support investment analysis
  • Ensuring advice and recommendations are clearly evidenced
  • Helping to improve processes, systems and ways of working

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, working through problems and understanding the reasoning behind the advice, rather than simply producing reports from a template.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Paraplanner who takes real pride in the quality of your work and enjoys the technical and analytical side of financial planning.

You’ll need a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, together with strong paraplanning and suitability report-writing experience. You’ll have good technical knowledge across pensions, investments and tax planning, as well as strong experience using CashCalc.

You’ll also need excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the confidence to question information or assumptions when something doesn’t quite add up. As the role is fully remote, you’ll be comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.

Experience using Timeline would be useful but isn’t essential.

This could particularly suit someone who genuinely enjoys being a Paraplanner and wants to continue developing as a technical specialist, rather than seeing paraplanning simply as a route into becoming an Adviser.
