About the Company

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established independent wealth management firm with the recruitment of a Senior Paraplanner.


About the Role

Permanent position. This role will be based in the company’s central Leeds office. The position will initially be office-based during the training period, with hybrid working available once the successful candidate is fully established in the role. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Senior Paraplanner will provide technical support across the firm’s financial-planning activities, producing compliant reports, conducting research and supporting advisers with complex client requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and compliant suitability reports within agreed timescales.
  • Conduct detailed technical research across financial-planning products and solutions.
  • Assist with the preparation of client portfolio reviews.
  • Respond to technical queries from clients and Financial Advisers.
  • Produce detailed client cash-flow models.
  • Support advisers with complex pensions, investments and wider financial-planning cases.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the firm’s preferred provider panels.
  • Monitor recommended providers, products and investment structures on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with the Technical team to update standard reports, recommendation wording and advisory tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge across all relevant areas of financial advice.
  • Produce technical bulletins and updates for clients and professional introducers.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other members of the team.
  • Ensure all advice documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Work closely with Advisers and administrators to ensure cases progress accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years’ experience working as a Paraplanner or in a comparable technical financial-services role. Comprehensive experience dealing with pensions is essential.


Required Skills

  • Strong experience producing compliant suitability reports and technical research.
  • Experience producing cash-flow models and client portfolio reviews.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate it clearly.
  • Competent using Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Confident supporting and developing less-experienced colleagues.

Pay range and compensation package
