A highly successful and rapidly expanding wealth management business is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its growing technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys working on complex client cases and wants to take on a broader role that includes technical leadership, mentoring, and quality oversight.

Working closely with Financial Planners, you will be responsible for producing high-quality research, analysis, and financial planning recommendations across a wide range of client scenarios. You will also provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, helping to drive consistency, quality, and best practice throughout the paraplanning function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research across pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection solutions
  • Prepare and review complex suitability reports and financial planning recommendations
  • Produce detailed cashflow modeling and scenario planning
  • Work closely with Financial Planners to develop bespoke client solutions
  • Review, sense-check, and sign off paraplanning reports
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to Paraplanners and Junior Paraplanners
  • Liaise with providers regarding technical queries and policy information
  • Ensure advice remains compliant with FCA and regulatory standards
  • Support process improvements and contribute to best practice initiatives
  • Participate in technical projects, committees, and working groups across the business

Candidate Requirements:

  • Chartered Financial Planner status or demonstrably close to achieving Chartered status
  • Minimum of five years' experience within Paraplanning or Technical Financial Planning
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection products
  • Experience using cashflow modeling and financial planning software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Passion for technical financial planning and mentoring others

Package:

  • £55,000 - £65,000 basic salary
