Senior Partnerships Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager based in United Kingdom.

This is a fully remote opportunity to shape and scale a global referral partner ecosystem within the HR technology and payroll space.

You will own strategic partnerships across diverse ecosystems, from accounting and legal to finance, HR, recruiting, and advisory services.

The role combines strategy, business development, relationship management, commercial execution, and data-driven optimization.

You’ll be responsible for growing hundreds of high-impact referral partnerships and turning them into sustainable sources of pipeline and revenue.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, Legal, Product, and Support, you’ll ensure partners are enabled and successful.

You’ll have significant ownership to experiment with new partnership models, automate processes, and develop scalable referral programs.

The environment is highly autonomous, asynchronous, international, and designed for people who thrive on ownership, innovation, and measurable results.

Accountabilities

  • Build and own the global referral partner strategy, with responsibility for the performance, development, and growth of a large portfolio of high-impact partners.
  • Identify, prospect, negotiate, onboard, activate, and manage referral partnerships across accounting, tax, venture capital, private equity, legal, HR, payroll, brokerage, finance, recruiting, and advisory ecosystems.
  • Develop partner segmentation, incentive structures, enablement strategies, and engagement models aligned with business priorities.
  • Serve as the internal executive sponsor for strategic partners, managing relationships from initial acquisition through activation, expansion, and long-term retention.
  • Design scalable referral programs that generate consistent, high-quality pipeline, including revenue-sharing models, co-selling initiatives, and partner lifecycle programs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of products, markets, customer needs, and use cases to identify relevant referral opportunities and triggers for different partner types.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, RevOps, Legal, Finance, Product, and Support to ensure partners are effectively enabled and operationally successful.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop referral campaigns, co-branded content, landing pages, and other initiatives that increase partner engagement and conversion.
  • Build a strong partner community where best practices, success stories, insights, and performance data can be shared.
  • Develop reporting and analytics to measure referral activity, pipeline contribution, revenue impact, partner performance, and return on investment.
  • Continuously optimize partnership programs based on performance data, partner feedback, customer needs, and changes in the market.
  • Represent the partnership function at relevant industry events, partner events, and community forums, with occasional travel to meet key partners in person.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency using AI tools and technology.
  • Operate as a hands-on first-line leader within the partnerships function, balancing strategic prioritization with day-to-day execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
