About the Association of Business Mentors (ABM)
The Association of Business Mentors is the professional body for business mentoring. We champion the real impact of mentoring, connecting business owners and professionals with the support, expertise and inspiration they need to succeed. Through exceptional training, thriving membership and high standards of accreditation, we empower mentors and leaders to create lasting change for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Why the business needs this role
This role is essential to ensuring ABM’s growing portfolio of partnerships translate into strong, long-term relationships, successful programme delivery and sustainable commercial growth. As ABM develops new partnerships, we need dedicated resources to manage partner relationships, ensure contractual commitments are delivered, coordinate activity across internal teams and provide excellent partner experience. The overarching aim of this role is to turn partnerships into successful, long-term accounts that retain, grow and advocate for ABM.
About the role
We are seeking a highly organised, relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to manage and develop ABM’s growing portfolio of partner accounts. Working closely with the Senior Partnerships Manager and wider ABM team, you will take responsibility for ensuring partnerships are successfully onboarded, delivered, managed and developed. This is a varied role combining account management, project delivery, customer service, marketing and commercial development. Importantly, this is also a commercial role. You will understand each partner’s needs and objectives and proactively identify opportunities to deepen relationships through renewals, additional programmes, training, membership and other relevant ABM services. Strong CRM discipline will be fundamental to the role, ensuring partner information, activity, opportunities, actions and commercial potential are accurately recorded and managed. The role will have a large marketing focus, supporting partner campaigns, writing engaging copy and coordinating activity that drives engagement with ABM programmes, training and membership. You will be a key point of contact for partners, building trusted relationships, coordinating delivery, supporting partnership events and running regular account reviews.
A key part of the role will be to ensure that the commitments made within partnership contracts and agreements are delivered. You will work across ABM teams to coordinate activity and ensure training, membership, marketing, events and programme delivery provide a seamless experience for our partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
