Company Description
Harris DAF is one of the longest established DAF Trucks dealership groups in the UK, operating four dealerships across Essex, Lea Valley, High Wycombe, and West Thurrock. The group provides new and used DAF trucks, repair and maintenance services, and a comprehensive stock of DAF and TRP parts. With group stockholding of approximately £7m and daily delivery services from all locations, Harris DAF ensures efficient parts supply for customers.
Role Description
The Senior Parts Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at the West Thurrock dealership. In this position, you will:
- Manage parts enquiries
- Identify and source DAF and TRP components
- Provide accurate advice to customers, technicians, and the sales team
- Oversee stock levels
- Process orders
- Coordinate daily deliveries
- Ensure efficient inventory control and documentation

The role includes:


Get help with your application

- Handling customer queries in person, by phone, WhatsApp, and email
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- Supporting dealership parts promotions
You will collaborate closely with workshop and outside sales colleagues, follow dealership and manufacturer procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement in parts operations.
Qualifications / Skills
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build positive, long-term relationships.
- Experience in Dealer Management or working within a dealership environment, understanding service, parts, and sales processes.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Inventory Control, including stock checking, ordering, and using parts management systems.
- Previous experience in commercial vehicle or automotive parts is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using dealership, ERP, or parts catalogue software and standard office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site full time in West Thurrock and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Relevant vocational training or qualifications in automotive parts, logistics, or a related field are an advantage.
