We're looking for an experienced Senior Pastry Sous Chef to help lead our pastry team and create beautiful desserts, pastries and baked goods that delight our guests every day

The Role

Working alongside the Executive Chef and Head Chef, you'll play a key role in leading the pastry section, maintaining exceptional quality and presentation, and inspiring the team to deliver outstanding results

What You'll Be Doing

Creating Exceptional Pastry

  • Producing high-quality desserts, pastries and petits fours
  • Delivering consistently exceptional presentation and quality
  • Helping develop seasonal desserts and creative new menu ideas
  • Ensuring every dish meets our luxury standards

Leading the Pastry Team

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the pastry section
  • Leading by example in a positive, professional kitchen
  • Coaching, training and developing junior chefs
  • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Maintain High Standards

  • Managing stock levels and ingredient ordering
  • Minimising waste and control costs
  • Following Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
  • Keeping the pastry section clean, organised and fully compliant

About You

  • Must have previous experience in a Senior Pastry Sous Chef or similar pastry leadership role
  • Must be passionate about creating exceptional desserts and pastries
  • Must have excellent pastry skills and technical knowledge
  • Must be creative with outstanding attention to detail
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Must have a strong understanding of food safety and modern pastry techniques
  • Must enjoy coaching and developing others
  • Must remain calm under pressure while maintaining high standards

Desirable

  • Have experience in high-volume hospitality
  • Have a Food Safety qualification
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a passion for learning and continuous development

Additional Information

  • 45 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7
  • Includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Flexibility is essential to meet business needs
