Job Title: Payroll Senior
Salary: £28,000–£34,000
Location: Office-based
Hours: Full-time or Part-time
The Role
You'll manage end-to-end payroll processing for a varied client base, ensuring payrolls are delivered accurately, on time and in line with current legislation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a client-focused environment and wants to be part of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
- Manage auto-enrolment pensions and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Calculate and process statutory payments, including SSP, SMP and SPP.
- Prepare and submit RTI returns to HMRC.
- Complete year-end payroll activities, including P60s and P11Ds.
- Respond to payroll queries from clients and employees.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers where required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and stay up to date with payroll legislation.
- Support the wider payroll team with general administrative duties.

About You
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience using payroll software (BrightPay experience is advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Able to manage multiple payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
