About the job

Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: Yeovil or Taunton
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Working: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join an established payroll team supporting a diverse portfolio of clients.

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of outsourced payrolls, managing the full payroll process while acting as a key point of contact for clients. The role offers a strong balance of technical payroll processing, client relationship management, and advisory responsibilities.

Public sector, NHS, or healthcare payroll experience would be particularly advantageous, given the complexity of terms and conditions, pension arrangements, and statutory requirements within these environments.

This would suit an experienced payroll professional who is confident working independently, enjoys client interaction, and is looking to take on greater responsibility within a supportive and growing team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
