Senior Payroll Assistant

Description
- Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records and handle related documentation.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in the calculation and submission of statutory payments such as tax and national insurance contributions.
- Work closely with the accounting and finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant payroll legislation.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Support the implementation of payroll system updates or changes.

Profile
A successful Senior Payroll Assistant should have:
- Experience in payroll processing within a professional services setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Good communication skills to liaise with employees and internal teams effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £32,800 to £37,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position within the professional services industry.
- 24 days holidays plus BH
