Job Title: Senior Payroll Manager
Sector: Division of a Plc
Location: Belfast Metropolitan
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 plus Bonus, Pension & Health

Who should apply?
This role will suit candidates with:
- 7+ years’ experience in end-to-end UK payroll
- Experience managing or supervising a payroll team
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Familiarity with payroll systems and process improvement
Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing a payroll team of 4, this role sits within a wider finance team of approximately 20 people.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership – Lead and mentor a payroll team of 4
- Payroll Processing – Oversee accurate and timely UK payroll for a large headcount
- Compliance – Ensure full compliance with UK payroll regulations and reporting requirements
- Process Improvement – Identify and implement improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
- Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with internal HR, Finance and external providers
- Systems Oversight – Maintain and optimise payroll software and systems
- Reporting – Deliver payroll reports and analysis to senior finance
- Project Support – Assist the Head of Finance in payroll-related projects and audits
