We are currently partnering with a global financial services firm to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their international team.
Join a Payroll Team responsible for the UK monthly payroll cycle, with a growing remit across Europe — particularly France and Germany.

Payroll Specialist
UK remit with international exposure
You will own end-to-end UK payroll input: starters, leavers, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, pensions, statutory payments and deductions. You'll need to be fluent in PAYE, NI, auto-enrolment, statutory payments and tax year-end.
Beyond the UK, you'll coordinate outsourced payroll providers across Europe, keep reconciliations and variance analysis tight, and partner closely with Finance on journals and accruals. There is also shadow payroll work for internationally mobile employees — so exposure to expat tax arrangements is a plus.
This isn't a back-office processing role. You'll be the go-to for HR colleagues, Branch Managers and stakeholders across the UK and Europe, and you'll have real input into process improvement and systems change alongside the Payroll Manager and wider Compensation & Benefits team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
