Senior PCB Design Engineer – Cambridge

A Senior PCB Design Engineer is required to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing electronics for industrial and communications applications. The Senior PCB Design Engineer will work on complex, high‑reliability designs from concept through to manufacture. This Senior PCB Design Engineer role offers broad technical exposure across high‑speed digital, RF, power and mixed‑signal designs.

Responsibilities

  • Own PCB layout activities across multilayer boards, HDI designs and high‑density component placement
  • Work closely with electronic, mechanical and manufacturing teams to meet performance, thermal and EMC constraints
  • Generate schematics, stack‑ups, routing strategies and manufacturing documentation
  • Perform DFM/DFT reviews and liaise with fabrication and assembly partners
  • Support design reviews, technical discussions and project planning
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of PCB processes, libraries and design standards

Requirements

  • Strong track record in PCB design for complex electronic systems
  • Experience with high‑speed digital, controlled‑impedance routing or mixed‑signal layouts
  • Familiarity with EMC considerations, power distribution and thermal constraints
  • Proficiency with industry PCB CAD tools (Altium or similar)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
