We are currently working with one of the UK's providers of Pension and Actuarial services who are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior DB Pension Administrator to join one of their growing pension teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a pension professional with strong Defined Benefit (DB) administration experience to take ownership of a portfolio of schemes, support junior team members, and deliver a high-quality service to trustees, employers, and members.
As a Senior DB Pension Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring pension schemes are administered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with legislation, scheme rules, and internal service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension schemes.
- Calculate and process member benefits, including retirements, transfers, deaths, divorces, and deferred benefits.
- Check and review complex calculations and casework completed by colleagues.
- Respond to member, trustee, and client enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate member records and scheme documentation.
- Support pension payroll and annual administration activities.
- Assist with scheme events, projects, and implementations.
- Monitor workflows and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in Defined Benefit pension administration.
- Strong technical knowledge of DB pension schemes and associated legislation.
- Experience calculating pension benefits and processing complex member events.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.
