Are you an experienced pensions professional looking to take the next step in your career? Join First Actuarial, a Gallagher company, as a Senior Pensions Administrator and become part of a team that values expertise, collaboration, and innovation.

As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. You’ll handle complex calculations, oversee key processes, and support the development of your team. This is an opportunity to work with both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all aspects of administration.

How You'll Make An Impact

Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution (optional):

  • Calculate and check complex retirement, leaver, death, and spouse’s benefits.
  • Review and sign off transfer value statements.

Other Pensions Tasks:

  • Manage pension increases, renewals, and trustee bank accounts.
  • Oversee bulk mailings, calculations, and administration reports.
  • Draft letters, reports, and support Annual Report & Accounts preparation.
  • Manage pensioner payrolls and annual scheme returns.
  • Handle non-standard client/member queries and sign off valuation data.

General Tasks:

  • Achieve service level agreements (SLAs) and manage your workload effectively.
  • Support team members through training and mentoring.
  • Take ownership of your professional development and contribute to process improvements.

About You

  • Experience: A seasoned professional in Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution pension scheme administration.
  • Qualifications: Willingness to study for professional exams (APE, RPC, ADRP, CPC).
  • Skills: Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pension administration systems (e.g., Compendia).
  • Attributes: A logical problem-solver, team player, and motivator with a positive attitude.
