Capita Pension Solutions is looking for experienced Senior Pension Administrators to join our team.
These are permanent opportunities where you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of pension administration activities, including complex casework, technical support, quality assurance, and colleague development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pensions professional with strong Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme knowledge who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team.

Job Description:
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Typical working hours are 9am to 5.30pm, although there may be some flexibility around start times, with working hours commencing between 7.30am and 10am, depending on business requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Authorise, review and check complex and manual calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with scheme rules and procedures.
- Support colleagues with technical queries and provide guidance on complex pension administration cases.
- Manage escalations, complaints, high-priority cases and complex customer enquiries to successful resolution.
- Support Team Managers and Senior Pensions Technicians (SPTs) in achieving operational targets and service delivery objectives.
- Monitor quality standards and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Deliver coaching, mentoring and technical support to Trainee Pension Administrators and Pension Administrators.
- Assist with training delivery and support the ongoing development and upskilling of team members.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and help maintain high levels of accuracy across the team.
- Identify complaints at the earliest opportunity, take ownership of issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions where required.
- Support workload planning and prioritisation activities, helping to ensure service standards and deadlines are met.
- Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies to enhance service delivery and customer outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with pension scheme rules, legislation, regulatory requirements and client procedures.
- Work within established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality standards and service level requirements.
- Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective communication across the wider team.

What we're looking for
- Proven pension administration experience, with strong knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
- Experience reviewing and authorising pension calculations, including complex and non-standard cases.
- Strong technical pensions knowledge and the ability to apply scheme rules confidently and accurately.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting the development of colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and confidence performing and validating manual calculations.
- Experience handling escalated cases, complaints and complex customer queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach, with a commitment to supporting colleagues and contributing to team success.
- Good IT skills, including experience using pension administration systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Security Clearance Requirement

Please note that, to be eligible for SC Clearance, you will typically need to have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years.
