About The Role
Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow, and we are now looking for a skilled Senior Pensions Administrator to join our vibrant Perth office with hybrid working. This is an exciting opportunity, ideal for candidates with previous experience in Defined Benefit (DB) pension administration, capable of performing manual calculations and reviewing the work of other team members.
Our award-winning pensions administration business puts scheme members at the heart of what we do, offering services that include scheme administration, first-time outsourcing, member communications, and scam protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to best practice procedures in all aspects of pensions administration tasks as defined by the Company.
- Maintain a client-focused approach, building trusting and credible partnerships with clients in person and through various communication channels.
- Oversee the management of monthly and annual processes on the team. Ensure processes meet customer and legislative requirements.
- Monitor accuracy, performance, and SLAs for the team, ensuring targets are met.
- Ensure standard documentation is scheme-specific and integrate them into existing procedures.
- Participate in client meetings as appropriate.
- Handle complex pensions queries.
- Sign off non-standard letters in response to client and member queries.
- Update relevant pension administration databases and systems.
- Perform manual benefits calculations.
- Assist in identifying training needs across the team and help develop and mentor team members.
- Support, motivate, and advise colleagues for the benefit of the team and Company.
- Manage ad hoc projects and tasks.
- Act as a key member of the pensions administration team, supporting the team leader.
- Monitor, delegate, and coordinate workflow, reporting regularly to the team leader on progress and issue management.
- Seek ways to innovate and improve quality, service delivery, and process efficiency.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to pensions queries; stay informed on technical and legislative developments within the pensions industry, offering technical support to team members.
- Collaborate with other departments/teams internally and externally to provide comprehensive services to our clients, such as Pensions Accounts, Payroll, Administration Support.
- Ensure accurate time tracking of both chargeable and non-chargeable activities and meet utilisation targets.

Essential
Your Profile:
- Previous pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit (DB) schemes, including handling leavers, final salary, retirements, deaths, transfers in and out.
- Familiarity with current pensions legislation and framework.
- Ability to perform complex calculations and review the work of colleagues.
- Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Effective communicator and strategic problem solver.
- Proactive and dedicated approach to work, involving personal and technical continuous professional development.
- Willingness to take on responsibility and adapt flexibly when work demands are high.
- Commitment to completing projects/tasks within given timescales.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent.
