At Burges Salmon, we know that brilliant people shape our business.

We're looking for a Senior Business Partner to join our People Advisory team in a role that offers real influence, high-quality work and the chance to partner closely with senior leaders across the firm.

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR or People Business Partner who enjoys operating at a strategic level while staying close to delivery. You'll work on complex, high-impact people matters, support organisational change and help shape an environment where our people can thrive and perform at their best.

You'll lead on complex employee relations matters, coach and challenge leaders, and work in partnership with colleagues across the wider People team to deliver a joined-up, thoughtful and commercially grounded approach. It's a role with visibility, trust and genuine scope to make a difference.

What Makes This Role Different

This role sits right at the heart of the business. You'll work with senior leaders on decisions that are commercially astute, people-focused and aligned to the firm's direction, giving you the chance to influence outcomes in a meaningful way.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
