The Opportunity

This is a senior people-partnering role — an evolution of the traditional HR business partner model, built around how Marcura creates value for its customers. You will act as a true strategic partner to a business domain, spending the majority of your time embedded in that area while also driving group-wide talent initiatives.

The role sits at the intersection of business strategy and people capability. You will carry the judgement and relationship work that connects People Operations and the Capability Innovation Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver Marcura's Talent Strategy.

What You'll Do

Domain Partnering

  • Partner with domain leadership on capability, workforce and organisation needs — approximately 70% functional capability work, 30% embedded group talent initiatives.
  • Own the people agenda for your domain: create and deliver a People framework and strategy tailored to it, and drive the culture, engagement and improvement initiatives that lift capability and performance.
  • Connect the domain people plan to the group workforce model and value-creation plan.

Skills, Talent & Careers

  • Engage with the Skills & Capability Lead to define and land the Skills Taxonomy for the group and your partnered domain.
  • Identify skills gaps and execute talent development programmes that close them.
  • Elevate talent and performance management with the Skills & Capability Lead, and run the Talent Management cycle — including high-potential identification and succession planning.
  • Design and execute career frameworks: levels, progression routes and development paths.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
