HW Facilities is a growing national commercial cleaning and facilities management business. As we continue to expand, we're investing in a modern, forward-thinking People function that supports our employees, strengthens our culture and helps drive business success.
We're looking for an experienced Senior People Manager to join our Head Office team in Westbury. This is a key leadership role within the People Department, offering the opportunity to influence both day-to-day HR operations and the long-term development of our people strategy.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of People, you will lead and support the People team while partnering with managers across the business to deliver professional, practical and compliant HR support.
This role combines operational HR management, employee relations expertise, team leadership and strategic People initiatives. You will also deputise for the Head of People when required, including during periods of absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, support and develop two People Assistants.
- Lead on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes.
- Provide HR guidance and coaching to managers across the business.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
- Lead TUPE projects and consultations.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
- Review and improve HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Maintain accurate HR systems, records and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Support workforce planning and wider People projects as the business continues to grow.

About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and people-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Essential
- Significant HR generalist experience at HR Manager, Senior HR Manager, HR Business Partner or similar level.
- Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Experience leading or developing HR team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- CIPD Level 5, CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Desirable
- TUPE experience.
- Experience working alongside Payroll and Finance teams.
- Experience within a multi-site, operational or service-led business.
- Facilities Management, Cleaning or Service Sector experience.

Work Location: Westbury Head Office, with occasional travel to customer sites (mileage allowance provided).
