Senior People Partner – Enabling Functions (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Hook, Hampshire (Hybrid – approximately 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 plus Car Allowance, Annual Bonus, and Private Medical Insurance
At Serco, our People team plays a critical role in helping the business navigate change, build capability, and deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers. We're looking for an experienced Senior People Partner to join us on a 12-month maternity cover, partnering with our Corporate and Enabling Functions during an exciting period of transformation.
This is a highly visible, strategic role where you'll work alongside senior leaders across functions including Finance, Technology, Legal, and other corporate teams, helping shape organizational design, lead complex change programs, and ensure our people strategy supports business performance.
What you'll be doing
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you'll translate business priorities into practical people plans that enable transformation, improve organizational effectiveness, and strengthen leadership capability. You'll:
- Partner with senior functional leaders to develop and deliver strategic people plans aligned to business priorities.
- Lead the people aspects of organizational change, including restructures, consultations, organization design, and implementation of new operating models.
- Support multiple transformation programs at different stages, helping the business successfully transition to a sustainable future state.
- Use workforce data and people insights to identify trends, quantify business impact, and provide evidence-based recommendations to leadership teams.
- Drive talent, succession, and workforce planning discussions, ensuring the organization has the capability required for future success.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, balancing commercial outcomes with legal compliance and colleague experience.
- Coach and influence senior leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams and strengthen leadership capability.
- Work collaboratively with Centres of Expertise and People Services to ensure seamless delivery of specialist HR support.

What you'll bring
We're looking for an experienced HR leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders to solve business challenges. You'll bring:
- Significant experience operating as a Senior HR or People Partner within a large, complex, or matrix organization.
- A strong background leading organizational transformation, restructures, and change programs from planning through to implementation.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams and acting as a trusted advisor on strategic people matters.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into meaningful business actions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge, and coach leaders at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex employee relations issues.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex people issues for executive audiences.
- Experience within a corporate function such as Finance, Technology, or other enabling functions would be highly advantageous.
- CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
