We are looking for a strategic Senior People Partner to support senior leaders across our Corporate Functions in driving high performance, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness. You will provide expert guidance on people strategy, employee relations, organisational change, talent management, and leadership development. We pride ourselves on being trusted partners who have a thorough understanding of the business areas we support.

You will support and guide the People Partners to ensure a proactive approach to employee relations, oversee restructuring initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across the People team. A key part of the role will be reviewing and improving policies, processes and ways of working so they are simpler, more consistent, effectively governed and effective for colleagues, managers and the business. You will bring your experience and ideas to help shape how the People team operates, delivers its services and works across organisational boundaries.

We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here’s how you will contribute…

  • Strategic People Partnering, acting as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, developing a strong understanding of their business areas and providing insight, constructive challenge and practical guidance on workforce planning, organisational capability, talent management and employee engagement.
  • Develop the use of people data and analytics to identify workforce risks and trends, inform decision-making, prioritise interventions and evaluate the impact of People initiatives.
  • Develop and lead talent management & succession planning initiatives to develop top talent and build robust succession plans for critical roles.
  • Empower and enhance internal mobility, employee growth and employer branding, attracting high-calibre talent and promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Oversee complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law. Supporting development of proactive employee relations strategies to reduce case volume.
  • Supporting cultural, organisational and operational change in a safety-critical and regulated environment, leading restructuring, redundancy and change initiatives while building constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Identify and implement improvements to People policies, processes, systems and ways of working, simplifying workflows, strengthening governance and controls, improving consistency and user experience, and leading People projects such as leadership development programmes, employee engagement initiatives and ED&I activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
