About the role

The Senior People Partner serves as a strategic People adviser to designated business functions. Working closely with VP and SVP leaders, the role translates enterprise People strategy into practical business outcomes through organisation design, workforce planning, talent, performance and change initiatives. As a senior individual contributor, the role influences through expertise rather than line management, working collaboratively with fellow People Partners to ensure a consistent, aligned and joined-up approach across the business, while operating within the People Partnering framework established by the Director, People Partnering.

The ideal candidate will be based in Northern Ireland and available for hybrid work 1-2 days per week in our Antrim office.

Main responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with functional leadership teams to align People priorities with business strategy.
  • Support organisational design, workforce planning and restructuring within assigned business areas.
  • Develop workforce plans and provide insights that inform enterprise workforce planning.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations, performance, talent and succession matters.
  • Lead functional change initiatives and ensure adoption of enterprise People programmes.
  • Use people analytics and organisational insight to influence business decisions.
  • Coach senior leaders to improve organisational effectiveness and leadership capability.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to the development of enterprise People practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and People Operations to deliver a consistent employee experience.
  • Identify business risks and escalate enterprise-wide issues to the Director, People Partnering.

Essential criteria

  • 5+ years' experience in a strategic People Partner or Senior People Partner role, with experience influencing senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application across complex People scenarios.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness, with the ability to connect People strategy to organisational performance and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading organisational design, workforce planning, and large-scale change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to coach, influence, and challenge senior leaders using evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong analytical capability, using people data and organisational insight to shape strategic decisions.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled or automation tools to improve People processes and decision-making.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and builds credibility through expertise and collaboration.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience partnering with and supporting corporate functions, including Technology, Product, Finance, and Information Systems.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or organisational integration.
  • Experience with People systems, ideally HiBob.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Relevant HR qualification or professional certification.
