Senior People Partner - County Antrim - Newly created
MCS Group is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a large, ambitious organisation undergoing significant transformation to appoint a Senior People Partner to its People function.
The role:
This is a commercially focused, strategic partnering role offering the opportunity to influence senior leadership, shape workforce strategy, and support major organisational change.
The main responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering functional people plans aligned with wider business objectives.
- Advising leaders on workforce costs, labour spend, budgets, and organisational performance.
- Leading workforce planning in response to growth, automation, and changing capability requirements.
- Supporting organisational design, restructuring, and operating-model transformation.
- Leading initiatives across culture, engagement, leadership capability, talent, and organisational effectiveness.
- Using people data and workforce intelligence to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Facilitating talent and succession-planning discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Providing oversight and guidance on formal employee-relations matters.
- Driving process improvement and ensuring consistent people practices across the organisation.
- Providing direction and support to People Partners aligned with the relevant business areas.

The successful candidate:
- Strong strategic HR business partnering experience.
- Confidence influencing and constructively challenging Executive and Senior Leaders.
- A clear understanding of P&L, workforce budgets, labour costs, and commercial decision-making.
- Experience developing workforce plans aligned with operational and financial objectives.
- A successful track record in organisational change, transformation, and process improvement.
- Experience supporting organisational design, restructuring, or new operating models.
- The ability to use people data to inform commercial decisions.
- Strong, hands-on employee-relations experience, supported by practical and up-to-date knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, or another complex operational environment would be desirable.
