Role: Senior People Partner
Location
Bignall Park HQ (Bicester)
Job Purpose
To provide a professional and technically competent HR service that supports the ongoing development of the business’ headcount growth plans; ensuring robust HR processes are in place and addressing line management capability to encourage a more effective ‘self-service’ model. Act as a true business partner to key internal stakeholders, including providing expertise across various generalist HR matters and acting as an ambassador for DM as an employer of choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the centre of excellence and ‘go to’ individual for generalist HR matters, including leading on all employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance to ensure identified HR matters are resolved to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Identify people priorities and recommend appropriate solutions that minimise risk and financial exposure in relation to people matters.
- Build and improve line manager capability through coaching, training and targeted interventions, enabling managers to confidently and consistently manage people, performance, attendance and employee relations matters.
- Identify and map existing HR processes and workflows.
- Continuously review and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation to reflect current practices and legal requirements.
- Provide expert advice to ensure people practices and decisions comply with relevant UK and Ireland employment legislation and appropriately manage employment risk.
- Identify opportunities to enhance employee and manager ‘self-service’ capabilities within our Workday system.
- Support the delivery of organisational change projects within a fast-growing business, taking a lead on people specific work streams. Create communication plans to inform employees and managers about the changes, benefits, and timelines.
- Use people data, reporting and insight to identify trends, inform decision-making and challenge stakeholders, using this insight as part of regular business reviews with key stakeholders.
- Lead on EDI & Equal Opportunities within the business, identifying any potential gaps in process or practice and develop action plans to address the identified need.
- Contribute to the development of the employee proposition and employee experience, supporting the company’s ambition to be an employer of choice.
- Actively influence the delivery of the People strategy by operating as an integral member of the business leadership team.

Key Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in a Senior HR/People Business Partner role, ideally within a professional services organisation.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge, including employee relations, performance management, organisational change and employee engagement.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, providing pragmatic advice, constructive challenge and commercially focused people solutions.
- Experience of organisation design, workforce planning and supporting organisational change, including restructures and consultation processes.
- Strong track record of coaching and developing line managers, improving capability and enabling effective self-service.
- Ability to use people data and insight to identify trends, shape priorities and influence business decisions.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, with sound judgement around employee relations, risk and appropriate governance.
