I’m partnering with a leading FMCG organisation on a newly created senior People & Talent appointment, offering a rare opportunity to combine strategic HR partnering with senior-level Talent Acquisition.

This is not a traditional HRBP role, nor is it purely Talent Acquisition.

We’re looking for a seasoned People professional who can operate strategically, influence senior stakeholders and use data and insight to shape people decisions - but who is equally comfortable getting into the detail, interviewing senior talent, building pipelines and driving results.

The business is going through an exciting period of growth, change and transformation, creating significant scope for someone to make a visible impact and help shape the organisation as it evolves.

The opportunity

Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll partner across key business functions to drive the people agenda, with a broad remit spanning:

  • Strategic HR partnering and delivery of key people projects
  • Organisational change and transformation
  • Using people data and insight to influence decision-making
  • Building organisational and functional capability
  • Talent pipelining, succession planning and identifying future capability needs
  • Senior-level recruitment and assessment
  • Performance, engagement and broader people initiatives
  • Partnering with Centres of Excellence to develop and implement solutions
  • Using recruitment data, LinkedIn Recruiter and PSL insight to assess effectiveness and ROI
  • Leading and influencing change within a busy, evolving environment
  • Delivery of strategic Talent Acquisition projects alongside operational senior hiring

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
