Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Performance & Insights Analyst to join our Organisational Performance team within Strategy & Governance.

You'll play a leading role in helping the organisation understand how effectively we're delivering our strategy by providing high-quality analysis, insight and evidence that inform strategic decisions and organisational learning. Working closely with strategic portfolios, Directors and senior stakeholders, you'll help ensure decisions are grounded in robust evidence and a clear understanding of performance.

You'll act as a trusted analytical advisor, using a combination of strategic thinking, investigative analysis and stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities for improvement and help the organisation focus on what matters most for people, places and nature.

This role is a fixed term contract for 24 months.

The National Trust does not offer sponsorship. We welcome applicants with the right to work in the UK, but we are unable to offer any form of visa sponsorship.

What It's Like To Work Here

You'll be part of a team that helps the National Trust make informed decisions and improve how we work. You'll work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds and specialisms, sharing ideas and learning from each other's experience. Your work will help us deliver better outcomes for people, places and nature.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon. However, we operate a hybrid approach to working and expect colleagues to spend 40-60% of their working week at a National Trust location. There is flexibility within this framework, and the specific working pattern for this role will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll report to the Organisational Performance Manager and take the lead in providing high-quality analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You'll work closely with portfolio boards and senior leaders to understand performance, investigate trends and variances to identify the factors driving success and underperformance.

You'll play a central role in ensuring portfolio boards, Executive Directors and Trustees have a clear and insightful understanding of organisational performance. You'll develop compelling reports, dashboards and presentations, transforming complex analysis into clear, engaging narratives that support effective decision-making and productive discussions about strategic priorities and performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
