Senior Performance Marketing Lead, Trade Acquisition
As our next Senior Performance Marketing Lead, Trade Acquisition, you'll take single-point accountability for how we grow trade supply through paid channels. This isn't about hitting numbers someone else set. It's about setting the goals, building the roadmap and owning the strategy that the whole trade acquisition function is measured against. You'll shape how we invest, what we prioritise, and how the acquisition engine evolves over the next 12 to 24 months, working alongside senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product and Finance.
Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:
- Set the paid acquisition strategy: build the annual and quarterly plan that translates our business goals into clear channel priorities, investment and targets, rather than delivering against a plan set elsewhere.
- Own PPC, paid social, affiliates and remarketing end-to-end, covering strategy, budget, vendor relationships, testing and performance across each channel.
- Set and own the commercial targets that matter (MQLs, CAC and LTV:CAC), partnering closely with Finance on forecasting, unit models and the business case for new investment.
- Build a structured test-and-learn roadmap, sequencing initiatives across quarters and spotting risks such as rising CAC or channel saturation before they bite, while exploring new channels and partnerships as we grow.
- Partner with Sales, Product & CRO, CRM and Data teams to align lead quality, sharpen the acquisition journey and improve attribution and measurement.
- Report performance to senior stakeholders with a clear narrative on the mid to long-term health of the acquisition engine, not just in-period results, and represent trade acquisition in planning forums.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:
- Experience (or eagerness to grow into) owning paid acquisition strategy across channels like PPC, paid social, affiliates or remarketing.
- Confidence setting your own targets and owning the trade-offs between growth, efficiency and quality, rather than just delivering against numbers you're handed.
- Commercial fluency: comfortable building forecasts and business cases, and working closely with Finance on unit economics.
- A collaborative streak: you're just as happy partnering with Sales, Product, CRM and Data teams as you are deep in a channel dashboard.
