Senior Performance Marketing Manager

About FITR

FITR is the go-to personal trainer software for individuals, gyms, and large fitness brands worldwide: the elite all-in-one platform that lets personal trainers create, sell, and scale fitness, health, and lifestyle programs online. Built over eight years and trusted by thousands of coaches globally, including some of the best in the world, FITR has grown to circa £2M ARR and is now firmly in its next chapter: scaling to £10M within the next three to five years. The successful applicant will be joining at a very exciting time in a very fast-paced business.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to take ownership of paid acquisition as FITR scales toward £10M+ ARR. This is a hands-on role: you will be in the platforms yourself, not directing an agency, while also being senior enough to set strategy, challenge how budget is spent, and be accountable for results.

As we've scaled, cost per acquisition has crept up without a proportionate improvement in results, and there is real headroom to fix this — through better account management, sharper targeting, and a more rigorous, data-led approach to what we spend and where. You will have the autonomy to diagnose and fix this properly, with the support of a small, dedicated marketing team around you.

You will report to the Head of Marketing, and work closely with our Head of Growth & Data contractor on conversion optimisation, experimentation, and measurement across the funnel — they own turning your demand into conversion, and you'll lean on what they produce constantly. Organic and lifecycle work now sit in-house too: an Organic Growth & Content Manager owns SEO and content, and a CRM & Digital Executive builds and runs email/lifecycle journeys and web updates, so paid, organic, and lifecycle are one joined-up team rather than split across an agency. This is a role for someone who wants to be measured on results, not just activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Do

  • Own paid acquisition performance. Take full ownership of our paid channels, including Google Ads and Meta — set strategy, manage budget, and be accountable for cost-efficient volume, not just spend.
  • Fix and optimise existing accounts. Conduct a rapid audit of current paid accounts, tightening targeting, exclusions, and quality controls to reduce poor-quality lead volume and bring cost per acquisition back toward a more efficient level.
  • Be hands-on in the platforms. Build, test, and optimise campaigns directly — this is not a purely strategic or agency-management role. You should spend a large portion of your day in the platforms.
  • Trial new channels and formats. Run structured, well-scoped trials of new ad formats and platforms as they emerge, so we have first-hand data on what's worth scaling rather than relying on hearsay.
  • Keep us ahead of the market. Stay closely tuned to developments in B2B and performance marketing — attending webinars, tracking new formats and platforms — and proactively suggest where we should be testing early, while adoption (and cost) is still low.
  • Drive data-led decision-making. Proactively identify patterns in performance by channel, device, and lead quality, and bring diagnosis and recommendations to the table, not just activity updates.
  • Report and forecast. Own regular reporting on spend, volume, cost per acquisition, and lead quality, and partner with the Head of Growth & Data on the wider measurement and attribution picture.
  • Partner across the team. Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Brand & Campaigns Manager, Organic Growth & Content Manager, and Head of Growth & Data so paid, organic, and lifecycle activity work together rather than in silos.
  • Think beyond the lead. Connect acquisition activity to downstream coach value — not just lead volume, but the quality of coaches acquired and their progression into active, paying customers.
  • Manage a more junior Performance Marketing Manager, who will be responsible for implementation as well as supporting you in creating media strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven, hands-on experience running paid acquisition campaigns — Google Ads and Meta are essential — ideally within a subscription or SaaS business.
  • A track record of improving cost per acquisition and lead quality, not just scaling spend.
  • Comfortable working analytically with data — GA4, Mixpanel, or similar — to diagnose issues and spot opportunities, rather than waiting to be told what to look at.
  • Senior enough to operate strategically and propose and challenge how budget is spent, but happy getting into the platforms day-to-day and understanding the mechanics of the platforms — this is not a purely managerial role.
  • A structured, rigorous approach to reporting, testing, and iteration.
  • Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team, wearing multiple hats where needed.
  • A genuine curiosity about the marketing landscape — someone who enjoys keeping up with new developments and ad formats, and is proactive about trialling them early, rather than just running the tried-and-tested playbook.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in subscription or recurring-revenue businesses.
  • Familiarity with Customer.io, Attio, or similar CRM/lifecycle tools.
  • Experience working alongside a dedicated CRO, lifecycle, or growth function.

Current Marketing Stack

  • Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Mixpanel, Customer.io, Attio, Stripe (for revenue and CAC reporting), and Intercom.

What We Offer

  • Base salary of up to £65,000
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible working: Soho office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday & Friday
  • 30 days plus bank holidays holiday allowance
  • Fun, collaborative, supportive culture
  • Quarterly socials and a healthy work-life balance
