About the Role

The successful candidate will assist in the aseptic production of clinical trial anti-cancer treatment, Early Access to Medicine and Compassionate Schemes, and gene therapy injectable medicines. If you have an interest in the safe manufacture of injectable medicines, then this could be the role for you.

The Aseptic Services Unit at the Christie NHS Trust is a world leader in the production of phase one clinical trial materials and has an extensive portfolio of products for specialist preparation. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of concentration and the willingness to develop the ability to manipulate syringes and needles to withdraw liquid media and to be able to accurately read volumes on syringes.

All work is carried out in a clean room environment under the supervision of an accountable pharmacist and a highly trained technical team.

We are an ever-expanding, multi-disciplinary team who strive to produce exceptionally high-quality injectable medicines for each patient that uses our service.

The Aseptic team is a diverse and dynamic collective who work in a specialised cleanroom environment where teamwork is the key to efficiency and managing the patient experience. Each day is both challenging and rewarding in equal measures, with cancer treatments constantly evolving and new types of drugs being trialled each year.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
