We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated, qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly, supportive, and welcoming pharmacy team.

This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, registered Pharmacy Technician who has excellent dispensing and communication skills, to develop their skills and knowledge.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience of providing ward-based medicines management services as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Support for the successful candidate with their introduction into this role, and with their future professional development.
  • Must be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good time management, flexibility in work approach, and excellent team player.
  • Must hold an Accredited Checking Qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Rotational post working in various areas of the Pharmacy including Ward-based Medicines Management, Warfarin clinic, and Dispensary.
  • Participate in the full ward-based medicines management service.
  • Host warfarin ‘Point of Care’ Testing and dosing clinics on a rotational basis.
  • Responsible for the final checking of dispensed products.
  • Support and deputise for the Lead Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train a range of junior staff.
