Senior Pharmacy Technician Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy professional to join our team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician based at Withybush Pharmacy Department.
About the Role
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician with significant experience to provide professional and operational leadership. This involves the responsibility for the day-to-day management and effective delivery of a safe, accurate and efficient service across stores, dispensary and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the site Chief Pharmacy Technician
- Line manage and supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant Technical Officers
- Lead, develop and support the team, contributing to recruitment, workforce planning and performance
- Promote a positive and inclusive team environment
- Manage complex operational issues
- Ensure compliance with legal, professional and governance standards using performance data and quality improvement methods

Operational Lead Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Act as the operational Lead Pharmacy Technician
- Ensure the provision of a safe, accurate, efficient and cost-effective service in line with health board objectives
- Provide visible operational leadership to the team, promoting a positive, supportive and inclusive working culture
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of local policies, procedures and standard operating procedures in line with professional standards and Health board governance requirements
