An opportunity has become available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician Unlicensed aseptics team
The successful applicant will become part of a busy team, working within both a satellite aseptic unit, and a satellite dispensary, offering a high quality service, supplying Chemotherapy, and other treatments to Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and Burton Hospital.
We are willing to accept students qualifying in the upcoming months.
About the Role
The suitable applicant should be highly motivated, and have excellent attention to detail. They should be organised and able to prioritise work effectively showing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a diverse role that will include:
- Dispensing and accuracy in checking oral medication
- Checking outsourced IV products in our dispensary, including answering queries and delivering prescriptions
- Working in our aseptic unit, preparing and manufacturing cytotoxic aseptic items for our Chemotherapy prescriptions
- Assisting with regular cleaning
- Ongoing training and development
- Managing the unit on a rota basis
