We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the satellite communications industry, for an experienced Senior Physical Design Engineer to join their multinational Physical Design team.

This is an opportunity to work on state-of-the-art satellite SoCs, including complex digital and analogue modules and next-generation radiation-hardened satellite modems, using leading-edge process technologies and industry-standard EDA tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical implementation of complex SoCs, VLSI devices and test chips, integrating custom designs and third-party IP.
  • Own block-level timing closure and manufacturing sign-off, including power planning and analysis.
  • Develop timing constraints with RTL/Logic Design teams at block and chip level.
  • Implement DFT structures and support chip-level integration, simulation and verification.
  • Contribute to improving design scripts and tool flows.
  • Collaborate with design teams, IP/library suppliers, EDA vendors and external design service providers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
