Job Opportunity for Physiotherapist in Peterborough Community Rehab Service
We currently have an opportunity to recruit either an enthusiastic and motivated experienced Band 5 (as a developmental role) or Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Peterborough Community Rehab Service. The Physiotherapist role is based in the area surrounding Peterborough.
About the Role
This post is available as a development post for candidates who already have some relevant post graduate experience. If you are appointed as a Band 5, you will be supported to achieve competencies specific to the role, to be completed within an agreed timescale, up to a maximum of 24 months. Progress will be reviewed regularly in your supervisions and appraisals. Only on successful completion of these competencies, you will progress to a Band 6.
You would be working as part of a community-based therapy team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment. This post will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to consolidate their community, clinical and managerial skills. You will be working within a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistants and alongside Nursing and Mental Health colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning and developing specialist physiotherapist programmes for patients with a wide variety of complex needs.
- Responsible for your own caseload, prioritising referrals according to clinical need, signposting appropriately and undertaking assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using advanced, specialist clinical reasoning skills.
- Supervision of junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensuring that Therapy Assistants deliver high quality patient care.
