Senior Physiotherapist - Neurological Outlier Team and Stroke Team
We are recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist within our Neurological Outlier team and Stroke team, who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be joining a proactive, integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service with excellent peer and senior support. We are looking for someone with sound clinical reasoning and communication skills, as well as an ability to work within a team and to use your initiative. We are looking for someone with Stroke or Neuro experience.

Main Duties
The main duties of the post include:
- Assessment and treatment of patients within the wards at Lister Hospital following a Stroke or Neurological diagnosis.
- Actively participating in supervision, mentoring of staff and students.
- Taking part in in-service training.
- Taking a role in service improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- To utilise high levels of autonomy and the analysis of information from a wide range of sources, interpreting results to inform assessment and treatment planning.
- To work within Trust clinical guidelines, Professional Body and HCPC guidelines, and to have a good working knowledge of both national and local standards and monitor own and others quality of practice as appropriate.
- To independently plan and carry out assessments in the patient’s own home, if appropriate. This may involve unforeseen exposure to environmental hazards.
- Regular travel between multiple clinic locations across a wide geographical area. The successful candidate must be able to travel independently and reliably between sites within working hours to meet the operational requirements of the service.
