Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Senior Physiotherapist | Permanent | Part time
Up to £42,398.00 pro rata per annum
7.5 hours per week

On joining our agile and highly energised multidisciplinary team you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience across a range of specialties and levels of complexity.
Supported by our Physiotherapy Manager, you’ll have autonomy to utilise your acquired expertise and skills to make decisions that will ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. The work is exciting, varied and challenging, the multiple specialities will enable you to develop new skills and grow. We actively support you to be the best you can be in your role while also offering opportunities to progress.
We are looking for a senior pelvic health physiotherapist with a broad experience in treating patients with pelvic health conditions, such as bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and pre and post-natal care. Experience of treating men's pelvic health disorders would also be of benefit.
What is involved in the role?
This role is to predominantly treat pelvic health patients, post operatively or referred from the gynaecologists within the hospital but also from local GPs and insurance companies.

- You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients.
- The hospital is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our academy training programmes.
Your Qualifications, Experience, Skills And Values
- With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- You will have evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
- You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals. With a commitment to the use of evidence-based practice, you’ll also be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.
- We expect you to be a competent and confident IT user and to be well organised – you’ll have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.

Shrewsbury hospital, ranked as 'Good' in the last CQC inspection, is purpose built and well equipped with 30 en-suite bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, an Ambulatory Care Unit, and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI and CT facilities.
We offer the most up to date surgical treatments combined with a warm welcome and a professional and caring service from our matron-led nursing team. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cosmetic surgery, and women's health, but also undertake general surgery, urology, and interventions for chronic pain management.
