Physiotherapist Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist who has wide-ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care to join our Front Door Therapy team.
Role Overview
As a senior band 6 physiotherapist, you will provide and develop a high standard of physiotherapy services in the Frailty and Front Door specialty. You will have the opportunity to build upon your clinical and managerial skills with support from the team lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence, provide rapid assessments, and facilitate safe, timely, and appropriate discharges across Emergency departments, medical assessment units, and any other admission unit within Lincoln County Hospital.
- Contribute to the overall service development of the team and specialty, working with senior team members, professional leads, and the Head of Therapies.
- Manage, supervise, and support the development of staff members within the team.
Working Hours
- 7-day service, operating from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Flexible working hours are available to accommodate your needs.
- Ability to travel across Lincolnshire not serviced by public transport (car driver required).
Primary Base
Your primary base will be Lincoln County Hospital, but you will also be required to work at Pilgrim Boston Hospital Front Door as service needs arise.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with diverse or complex presentations, using acquired clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques.
- Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge of treatment skills.
- Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and alter treatment programmes if required.
- Manage clinical risk within your own patient caseload.
- Comply with the Trust Manual Handling Policy and local therapeutic handling guidance at all times.
- Deal sensitively with patients who have high levels of anxiety and aggression caused by pain, dementia, or limited mobility.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice.
- Be aware of departmental/hospital policies and procedures.
- Be part of the respiratory on-call roster.

About the Trusts
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating significant teaching commitment. It will now be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire.
