About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist who has wide-ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care to join our Front Door Therapy team.
Key Responsibilities
As a senior band 6 physiotherapist, you will provide and develop a high standard of physiotherapy services in the Frailty and Front Door specialty. You will have the opportunity to build upon your clinical and managerial skills with support from the team lead.
- Work closely in an integrated manner with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence, provide rapid assessments, and facilitate safe, timely, and appropriate discharges across within the Emergency departments, medical assessment units, and any other admission unit within Lincoln County Hospital.
- Contribute to the overall service development of the team and specialty, working with senior team members, professional leads, Head of Therapies, and managing, supervising the development of staff members within the team.
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with diverse or complex presentations; using acquired clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques.
- Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge of treatment skills.
- Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent, and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and alter treatment programmes if required.
- Manage clinical risk within your own patient caseload.
- Comply with the Trust Manual Handling Policy and local therapeutic handling guidance at all times.
- Deal sensitively with patients who have high levels of anxiety and aggression caused by pain, dementia, or limited mobility.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice.
- Be aware of departmental/hospital policies and procedures.
- Be part of the respiratory on-call roster.

Working Conditions
- Operating Hours: 7-day service working from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Flexible Working: Extended hours provide the appointable candidate with the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits their needs.
- Travel Requirement: Ability to travel across Lincolnshire not serviced by public transport (car driver).
- Primary Base: Lincoln County Hospital, with occasional work at Pilgrim Boston Hospital Front Door as service needs arise.

Pilgrim Hospital: Situated in beautiful countryside, serving the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Lincoln Hospital: A thriving university city with the opening of the medical school, providing all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust: Has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence of significant teaching commitment.
Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG): Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
