Job Opportunity at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
It is an exciting time to join our service with the Trust committed to becoming a designated Major Trauma Centre over the next 5 years and with the opening of a new Norfolk and Norwich Orthopaedic Centre (NaNOC) in July 2024, transforming our elective care provision.
As a result, our team is growing and we are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist with experience of musculoskeletal conditions and/managing patients after orthopaedic surgery, to join our acute inpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic team.
Key Details
- Weekday pattern includes long days (08:00-20:00), early (starting at 08:00) and late (ending at 20:00) shifts.
- Requirement to be flexible to meet service needs.
- Fulfill 7-day working requirements through our Orthopaedic weekend rosters + bank holiday roster.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership within the speciality including educational, professional and managerial guidance.
- Have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients.
- Deputise for the Team Leader/Senior physiotherapy staff as required.
- Assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients.
- Work will be undertaken without direct supervision.

Requirements
- Specialist knowledge and skills in the acute care of Trauma + Elective Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Involvement in assisting clinical lead physiotherapists to develop and transform our services and care pathways, providing clinical leadership to ensure provision of excellent patient care.
- Work alongside and gain peer support from other senior staff within the team and department.
