Job title: Senior Planner (MRTPI)
Location: Near Dorchester, Dorset (mainly office-based, some home working)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + commission

Senior Planner – Multi-Disciplinary Property Practice – Dorset
Are you a Chartered Planner looking for a client-facing role with real variety? Our client is an established multi-disciplinary property practice near Dorchester, and they're looking for a Senior Planner to join their team. You'll work on residential, commercial and agricultural projects across the Wessex region.
This is a fee-earning role in which you'll take projects from early concept right through to discharge of planning conditions. You'll work closely with in-house design, rural, commercial and valuations teams.

The role
- Give initial feasibility advice, prepare planning appraisals and shape planning strategies for clients
- Handle pre-application enquiries
- Draft Planning Statements, Design & Access Statements and supporting documents
- Prepare, submit and manage the full range of planning applications, including Listed Building Consent
- Lead projects, including managing external consultants and working with in-house teams
- Advise on planning conditions, Section 106 agreements, CIL and other planning obligations
- Advise on promoting development sites through the Local Plan process
- Prepare, submit and manage planning appeals

About you
- Chartered Member of the RTPI (MRTPI), ideally with 3+ years' PQE
- Client-facing planning experience in the public or private sector
- Comfortable working on your own and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent working knowledge of the NPPF, planning policy and regulation, and Local and Neighbourhood Plans
- Experience across residential, commercial or agricultural projects is an advantage
