BAM UK & Ireland are recruiting a Planner / Senior Planner in the Scotland region based out of Glasgow office on a hybrid basis.

Making Possible

The Planner will co-ordinate and assist in the production of a variety of documents to support the Preconstruction and Construction teams.

This role requires an attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Prepare and assist with the preparation of design, procurement and construction programmes using Asta Powerproject
  • Supporting the planning, programming, and progress control process
  • Prepare and assist with the production of written reports and method statements
  • Prepare and assist with and identifying risk and opportunity
  • Reporting findings to internal and external teams, formulating and recommending solutions
  • Prepare and assist with the preparing and maintaining logistics plans
  • Prepare and assist with identifying and scheduling major plant requirements including scaffold schedules, tower crane enquiries, hoist and temp electrics requirements
  • Working collaboratively to become an integral member of the team, as well as, at times working autonomously, to achieve tight deadlines
  • Becoming involved with tender, pre-construction and on-site construction opportunities as they arise

What do you bring to the role?

  • Demonstrable experience in contract and tender planning
  • A relevant qualification, or working towards a relevant qualification, at degree level or equivalent experience is desirable
  • Good experience in using Asta Powerproject, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
  • Some experience with BIM and 4D
  • Understanding of Lean Construction in relation to construction planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • As a team player you will be highly motivated and driven
