Job Summary
AUREOS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LIMITED on behalf of Taylor Woodrow / Aureos JV working on Washwood Heath for HS2 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Planner to lead and manage complex planning activities for our diverse depot project. This role involves ensuring project timelines are met, resources are optimally allocated, and potential delays are mitigated through proactive planning and strategic oversight.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules and critical path analyses for multiple infrastructure projects, utilizing industry-standard planning software.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and translate these into comprehensive project plans.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring, identify variances from the baseline schedule, and develop recovery plans to ensure projects remain on track.
- Perform risk assessments related to project timelines and resources, and propose mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
- Prepare and present detailed planning reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management and clients, providing clear insights into project status and potential challenges.
- Facilitate planning meetings, workshops, and review sessions to ensure alignment and effective communication across project teams.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior planners and project team members on best practices in project planning and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant JV policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of planning processes and tools within the organization.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PSP) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically within the infrastructure sector (e.g., transportation, utilities, civil works).
- Expert proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and other project control techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Superior communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Have understanding of risk management and assist the risk team
