We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team on a major new-build Ministry of Justice prison development in the North West of England.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a nationally important, high-profile project that will contribute to the UK's critical infrastructure programme. Working closely with operational, commercial and design teams, you will be responsible for leading planning activities from construction through to completion.

The role offers a blend of site-based working and collaboration from our Warrington office, providing the opportunity to work closely with project stakeholders while maintaining strong links with our wider planning and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and manage detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
  • Produce fully integrated project schedules covering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Lead planning and programme reviews with project teams, clients, supply chain partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify programme risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Produce regular progress reports, programme updates and critical path analyses.
  • Support project controls and reporting requirements in line with MoJ and client expectations.
  • Conduct delay analysis and provide scenario modelling where required.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure programme performance and project objectives are achieved.
  • Contribute to tender planning, sequencing and logistics strategies where necessary.
  • Mentor and support junior planners within the wider planning function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
